I am constantly grabbing for these items during the winter season!
As unappealing as this product sounds, it is SO effective. I love using it whenever my son has a cold/ runny nose. The saline helps reduce inflammation as well as flush out the mucus that is causing congestion. I usually start and end our day with it during our sick time routine. It's best to have them blow their nose after or use the Fridababy Snot Sucker due to the mucus being loosened up.

I understand some people are weary of putting scented products in the bath due to potential irritation, however, the vapors from these are so helpful! I was also hesitant to put it in the tub so instead, I ran the shower with the bath bomb in it. I held my toddler and had him breathe in the steam and the aroma from the bath bomb is always so soothing! If you aren't particular about scents in the tub, feel free to toss it in while they bathe as instructed.
Vicks Baby Rub

As an adult Vicks is so soothing when you are sick so, having a baby/ toddler safe option is huge. This option is also non-medicated so you don't have to worry about anything harmful on your babies skin. It is also created with essentials oils such as, eucalyptus, lavender, aloe vera, and rosemary. I usually rub this on my little's chest but I have heard putting it on their feet works, if you are nervous they will touch it on their chest.

I have this thermometer as well as an armpit one because I need to be EXTRA sure when it's fever time. I love this thermometer because it is fast and has been accurate! Even when he is sleeping I can get his forehead temperature effectively. There is nothing more important than having the correct instrument when your little is sick!
If you have humidifiers you know what a pain in the neck they can be! The mold growth, having to constantly dump the water, and cleaning/ drying all the crevices. This humidifier has been the easiest upkeep for me and super effective. I would use this at nap time or bed time during the sick times. Sometimes it can make mucus move around and I have found myself turning it off to stop a cough. Typically though, it is a perfect addition to the sick routine line up!
It can feel so challenging to treat your child when they can't have a cough and cold medicine due to age restrictions. I saw a Zarbees advertisement in the doctor's office so when my son was closer to three I finally felt comfortable giving it to him. All of their products have different age restrictions so, please be mindful what works for you and your family. I love this product because it has no high fructose corn syrup, no gluten, no alcohol or drugs, and no artificial sweeteners or flavors. There is honey and elderberry mixed in there which, naturally helps your little as well as provides a good taste.
Here's to a healthy (or at least prepared) year!
